Actress Hayden Panettiere’s brother Jansen Panettiere died Monday at the age of 28 in New York City. He was five years younger than Hayden.

He was best known for his film and TV roles from the early 2000s including appearances on Even Stevens, The X’s, Tiger Cruise, Racing Stripes, The Martial Arts Kid, The Walking Dead, Perfect Game and How High 2. In 2022, he appeared in the holiday film Love and Love Not.

Who is Hayden Panettiere?

Hayden Panettiere was born and partly raised in Palisades, New York. She is the daughter of Lesley R. Vogel, a former soap opera actress, and Alan Lee “Skip” Panettiere, a captain in the Fire Department of New York City. Her mother’s family lives in Indiana. She attended South Orangetown Middle School in New York.

Panettiere first appeared in commercials at the age of eleven months and 9hrs, beginning with an advertisement for a Playskool toy train. She is best known for her lead roles as Claire Bennet on the NBC superhero series Heroes (2006–2010) and Juliette Barnes in the ABC/CMT musical drama series Nashville (2012–2018). Nashville earned her two nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She also stars in Wes Craven’s meta-slasher franchise, Scream, portraying tomboy film geek Kirby Reed.
