After XXXTentacion’s alleged killers were found guilty of killing X, the rapper’s girlfriend issued a statement.

The mother of XXXTentacion’s son Gekyume, Jenesis Sanchez, wrote a touching Instagram post on Monday, in response to the guilty judgment being delivered in the XXXTentacion murder trial.

“After 5 long years you may finally rest in peace. Gekyume will never get to meet you earthside but it is my job as a mother to ensure I share the special memories with him. Jah was robbed of his life and Geky was robbed of his father. For this I will never truly have complete peace but justice being served today helps the healing process. Thank you for the love and support I am eternally grateful for all the supporters, your positivity and prayers have carried me these last 5 years, ” she wrote.

Who is Jenesis Sanchez?

Jenesis Sanchez was born in 2001 in Providence, Rhode Island. She moved to Tampa, Florida, with her parents when she was young and has resided there ever since.

Sanchez started dating XXXTentacion in 2018. The pair had known of each other for quite some time.

She disclosed that they met at a party owing to a mutual friend who introduced them.

Sanchez then relocated from Tampa to Parkland in February 2018 to be closer to her partner. The two have a son named Gekyume. She then revealed that she had to have an emergency C-section to give birth to her baby boy and wished to avoid any additional stress at the time.

Sanchez claims that she and XXXTentacion had already decided on names for their child before the rapper’s untimely demise.

If it were a female, they would have called her Xiorra after a character from the video game ‘Kingdom Hearts’.

Sanchez gave birth to a newborn boy on January 26, 2019, and named him Gekyume. (pronounced Gek-yoom).

“Gekyume means different state or next universe of thought,” she explained. And, sure, Jahseh chose this name before he died.”

“I realize it’s difficult to say, Gekyume. So he’s known as Yume.”

Sanchez describes herself and XXXTentacion’s actual name, Jahesh Onfroy, as “hermit crabs” who “didn’t go out much.”

She remembers spending hours playing video games at home with the late rapper, before commenting on how she will raise up their son: “I’m definitely not going to ever lie about him. He’s going to hear about his dad 24/7.”

“I’m going to tell him about all the fond memories I have with his dad, Jahseh. I’m going to tell him how much his dad would have loved him. I know sometimes, probably when he gets older, it will affect him more than now when he is younger, but he’s definitely going to know about his father,” Sanchez added.
