Jimmy Sheirgill is an Indian actor and film producer active in both Hindi and Punjabi cinema. He started his acting career with the 1996 Bollywood film ‘Maachis’ and went on sharing screen space with actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Mohabbatein’, which became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year.

His other works include ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai’, ‘Dil Hai Tumhaara’, ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, and ‘Special 26’. He also got the nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Tanu Weds Manu: Returns’.
After trying out his hands in Bollywood, Shergill made his Punjabi film debut with ‘Yaaran Naal Baharan’ in 2005 and went on doing superhit films like ‘Mel Karade Rabba’, ‘Dharti’, ‘Aa Gaye Munde U.K. De’, ‘Shareek’ and ‘Daana Paani’.

His impeccable acting in Punjabi cinema earned him the tag of Amitabh Bachchan of the Industry and is currently one of the top actors in the industry.
Even his production ventures like ‘Taur Mittran Di’, which was released in May 2012, became a superhit. His other production films include ‘Saadi Love Story’ and ‘Rangeelay’.
