John Oliver returned to Last Week Tonight for another episode, this time slamming HBO’s House of the Dragon. The comedian poked fun at the dark scenes in the Game of Thrones spinoff, which have divided fans.

While the topic was transgender rights and a young girl protesting about the school’s bathroom situation, Oliver tried to lighten the mood by making fun of the HBO fantasy series.

“That’s brutal!” exclaimed Oliver. “It’s so dark it’s genuinely hard to watch,” Oliver added. “It’s also a pretty accurate tagline for House of the Dragon.”
