Who is DC Young Fly?
John Richard Whitfield is an American comedian, actor, and musician better known by his stage name D.C. Young Fly. In addition to his live comedic performances with Chico Bean and Karlous Miller from the Wild ‘n Out ensemble, he is highly recognized for his internet roast performances.
DC, who was born the seventh child and the youngest, was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He started uploading funny videos on the Vine app in 2013 and continued doing so until the app was discontinued.
Later, DC switched to Instagram, where he started posting his “roasting session” videos, in which he made parodies and mocked celebrities. Stars like Kevin Hart, Michael Blackson, LeBron James, and many others have responded to these videos.
DC Young Fly joined the recurring cast of the sixth season of the improv comedy series Wild ‘n Out in 2015. After his debut season, he received the “Rookie of the Year” award. In both seasons 11 and 12, as part of the 85 South Show Podcast, he served as the team captain of the “Black Squad”. He presently has the most Instagram followers than any other cast member.
Fly began a career in music in 2019 and has collaborated with a wide range of artists since then, including Juicy J, EARTHGANG, B.o.B., Mike Will Made It, and many more.
Jacky Oh! was already a model for the show when DC first appeared as a regular on the well-known MTV sketch comedy series “Wild ‘N Out,” and that is how they first met.
