Jacky Oh, a former Wild ‘N Out celebrity and DC Young Fly’s long-time partner, passed away in Miami on Thursday at the age of 32, according to TMZ.

According to the publication, the star, whose real name was Jacklyn Smith, said in a social media post that she later deleted that she was visiting Miami for a ‘mommy makeover’. In a message on Wild N’ Out’s Facebook page published on Thursday afternoon, a BET Media Group spokesman confirmed the untimely demise.

Who is DC Young Fly?

John Richard Whitfield is an American comedian, actor, and musician better known by his stage name D.C. Young Fly. In addition to his live comedic performances with Chico Bean and Karlous Miller from the Wild ‘n Out ensemble, he is highly recognized for his internet roast performances.

DC, who was born the seventh child and the youngest, was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He started uploading funny videos on the Vine app in 2013 and continued doing so until the app was discontinued.

Later, DC switched to Instagram, where he started posting his “roasting session” videos, in which he made parodies and mocked celebrities. Stars like Kevin Hart, Michael Blackson, LeBron James, and many others have responded to these videos.

DC Young Fly joined the recurring cast of the sixth season of the improv comedy series Wild ‘n Out in 2015. After his debut season, he received the “Rookie of the Year” award. In both seasons 11 and 12, as part of the 85 South Show Podcast, he served as the team captain of the “Black Squad”. He presently has the most Instagram followers than any other cast member.

Fly began a career in music in 2019 and has collaborated with a wide range of artists since then, including Juicy J, EARTHGANG, B.o.B., Mike Will Made It, and many more.
