Jordan Peele is an American actor, filmmaker and comedian. He was born on February 17, 1979, in New York City. He is best known for his work in the horror and comedy genres. In 2017, he was in the top 100 most influential people in the world list. Jordan Peele’s horror movie ‘Get Out’ won the Academy Award for the best original screenplay in 2018, making Peele the first African-American to win this award.

He was raised by his single mother, Lucinda Williams, on the Upper West side of Manhattan. He graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers. He was hired as a cast member on the Fox sketch comedy series ‘Mad Tv’ in 2003. This was the breakout role in his career. He spent five seasons and decided to quit the series in 2008.

He then collaborated with Keegan-Michael Key and created their own Comedy Central sketch series known as ‘Key & Peele’. ‘Key & Peele’ premiered on January 31, 2012, and ended on September 9, 2015. The series won two Primetime Emmy Awards. In 2014, Key and Peele worked together in an anthology series ‘Fargo’—they played less than formidable FBI agents in the splendid three-season true crime in Minnesota. One of the stories is from the hit film from Coen Brothers also called Fargo. They also wrote, produced and starred in ‘Keanu’ in 2016.
Peele married ‘Brooklyn99’ actress Chelsea Peretti in 2016. They began dating in 2013 and got engaged in 2015. Chelsea Peretti made an announcement in 2016 that she and Peele had eloped.
Jordan Peele has written, directed and co-produced the upcoming American sci-fi horror movie, ‘Nope’. The movie stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun. The movie is all set to release on July 22, 2022, by Universal Pictures.
