American rapper
Krishnik Khari Ball, famously known as Takeoff, was tragically shot dead on Monday,
November 1 in Houston. He was 28 at the time of his death. According to
reports, he was shot when arguments rose over a game of dice at a bowling alley
called 810 Billiards and Bowling Houston. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Takeoff was accompanied by his former band member and uncle Quavo, and a few others when the shooting occurred.

In the gunfire that
killed Takeoff, two other people were also shot and left injured. One of them has
been reported as Joshua Washington, Quavo’s assistant.

Who is Joshua Washington?

Joshua ‘Josh’
Washington was born between 1998 and 2000. The 23-year-old has been close to
rapper Quavo for some time and has worked as his assistant for the last
couple of years.

Apart from being
Quavo’s assistant, his social media profile also describes him as part of the
operations management at Huncho Records. He also describes himself as a musician through his Instagram. He goes by the Instagram handle jwaash_.

In August 2021, Quavo
posted a picture of Josh holding up an umbrella for the former, captioning, “5k
a Day My Asst. A Millionare”. The post quickly went viral as netizens calculated
Joshua’s yearly income to be roughly $1.8 Million before taxes.

Joshua was identified
as the second victim to be shot and was rushed to the hospital. He is currently
in recovery. Apart from him, a 24-year-old lady was also reported to be a victim
of the shooting, who was later taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
