Joycelyn Savage is a 26-year-old model and singer who rose to prominence for dating R&B icon R Kelly. She is the daughter of Jonjelyn Savage and Timothy Savage, who have alleged that Kelly “brainwashed” her, according to a report by Heavy. As per court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Savage is engaged to Kelly and claimed to be his fiancee. She asked the judge for leniency in the R&B singer’s sentencing, saying she was not a “victim” and Kelly wasn’t a “monster” as the government portrayed.

However, in December 2020, Savage shared the ordeal of her time with Kelly on the membership platform Patreon.

She revealed that she met the ‘I’m a Flirt’ singer in 2015, at a concert when she was 17 years old. After Kelly promised her a career in music, Savage dropped out of college to live with him.

“Baby girl you are going to be the next Aaliyah,” he would tell her.

“After these couple of months Robert started giving me commands, and making sure I call him by certain names. Like ‘Master’ or ‘Daddy’ which I didn’t really care for at the time, ” Savage wrote on Patreon in 2020.

“If I wasn’t getting paid or pursuing my dream I would’ve went home, but all of that didn’t stop just yet. But It started getting worse by day by day, he would raise his voice at me if I didn’t call him by those two names. If Robert called me I would have to reply with ‘Yes, daddy’ or ‘Please daddy’ he was so controlling,” she added.

In the post, Savage stated that she was putting her life at risk by sharing her side of the story.
