American television personality and the host of the “Wheel of Fortune”, Pat Sajak, has announced the news of his retirement. Sajak shared the news through a tweet.

The tweet read, “Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)”

Sajak gained fame and became popular in the American household, and the news of his farewell has come with a way of sadness for his fans.

He was married twice in his lifetime. Sajak married Sherrill Sajak in 1979, but the couple split in 1986. In 1989, he married Lesly Brown.

Who is Lesly Brown?

Lesly Brown is the wife of television personality Pat Sajak. The couple got married in 1989. They have two children together – Patrick Michael James Sajak and Maggie Sajak.

Prior to her relationship with Pat Sajak, Lesly Brown worked as a model and aspired to be an actress. Notably, she posed for the “Women of Washington” issue in Playboy magazine. Brown graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in television production in 1986. 

As reported, Lesly and Pat met each other through a mutual friend in 1988 in a sports bar. The duo connected rapidly after a brief conversation and then became lovers from friends.

Pat Sajak has proved his mettle in the television industry and rose to fame with the determination and hard work of over four decades. Recently, Sajak announced quitting the show after a years-long association.

Pat Sajak’s forthcoming retirement as a Wheel of Fortune host, at the age of 76, will mark the end of an era for the game show. Although he will stand down from on-screen duties and shift into a consulting role for the show for three years, his exit will be significant.
