Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton, stars of the hit TV series One Tree Hill, have accused the show’s creator, Mark Schwahn, of forcing them to pose for the male magazine Maxim. The two actors made the claims on the podcast Drama Queens.

Bush said on the podcast that she had initially refused to be a part of the Maxim photoshoot since her character, Brooke Davis, was supposed to be 16 years old.

Her comments were, “I was like, ‘Look, if the girls want to do it, that’s great. I don’t. I have gone to battle trying to make Brooke less of this thing that you guys tried to force me into. I don’t want to do it'”.

Hilarie Burton, who played the character Peyton Sawyer, also said that Schwahn had told her to not give up on the offer since Maxim was the only magazine that wanted them on its cover.
