Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and wife of Prince Harry, made headlines recently after the couple’s new docuseries with Netflix got released on December 8, 2022. Their new initiative with Netflix sparked controversy and criticism flowed in.
Meghan, in the series, spoke of her life with the Royal Family, scandals and media attacks. While some claimed that the series was highly invasive and biased against the British Royal Family, there was positive feedback as well.

Who is Meghan Markle?
Rachel Meghan Markle, famously known as Meghan Markle, was born on August 4, 1981, at West Park Hospital in Canoga Park, Los Angeles, California. She is a member of the British Royal Family, as the Duchess of Sussex. She is married to Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.
Markle, along with Harry, has two children: a son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, born in 2019, and a daughter, Lillibet Mountbatten Windsor, born in 2021.
Meghan was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. At Northwestern University, she began her acting career. Her final and most notable on-screen performance was as Rachel Zane for seven seasons (2011–2018) in the American TV legal drama Suits.

Before marrying Prince Harry, Meghan was married to American film producer Trevor Engelson, whom she started dating in 2004. They separated and got divorced in 2014. Markle was also in a live-in relationship with Canadian celebrity chef Cory Vitiello, which ended in 2016.
Meghan began dating Prince Harry, son of King Charles III, in 2016. Their engagement was announced in 2017, and they got married on May 19, 2018, at the St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Markle’s wedding with Prince Harry was received well, and was also met with enthusiasm in Commonwealth countries due to her mixed-race and her now association with the British Royal Family.

Amid ongoing spats with the media, and reportedly the Royal Family as well, the Duchess and Duke decided to split their time between the UK and North America, in 2019, and explore other endeavours. The couple officially stepped down as senior royal officials and from their royal duties in 2020. Meghan, along with Harry, then moved to Canada, and then eventually settled down in California, United States.
The royal couple continued their charity work. Meghan took on more social-work initiatives. Meghan, along with Harry, severed ties with a few media outlets over false and defamatory news, and won a suit against them in 2021. Meghan had also insinuated that she was mistreated by the Royal Family.
