Anne Jakrajutatip, whose original name is Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, is the first woman to own global beauty pageant Miss Universe Organization in its 71-year history. 

According to Forbes, the Thai-transgender business mogul has an estimated fortune of 170 million dollars. According to NBC, the Miss Universe deal was an estimated US$20 million.

The 43-year-old has appeared in local versions of Project Runway and Shark Tank in her home country, according to NBC.

Who is Anne Jakrajutatip?

Anne Jakrajutatip was born in a Thai—Chinese family in Thailand. She is eldest child of Ashira Suthisataporn and Ampai Jakrajutatip. Her parents ran a video rental store and encouraged her to learn English.

She speaks both English and Thai. She has one younger sister, Pimuma “Dao” Jakrajutatip and an estranged younger brother, Jatuphon “Joe” Suthisataporn.

During her early years, she attended Assumption College (Thailand). She later attended university studies in Queensland, Australia and studied international relations at Bond University. She later earned a certificate of Real Estate Development from Chulalongkorn University and completed a Director Accreditation Program from the Thai Institute of Directors Association.
