Astro K-pop boyband member Moonbin was found dead in his apartment in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The police believe it was an apparent suicide. He was 25 years old.
Police officials believe that Moonbin took his own life and “are considering conducting an autopsy while investigating the cause of death,” according to Yonhap News TV. The official cause of death is yet to be determined.
After making his comeback with the ASTRO unit group with Sanha, Moonbin was scheduled to host a fan con tour. However, in light of recent events, the organizers have decided to cancel the event. Here is the statement regarding the same:
“With heavy heart, we would like to inform you that the 2023 Moonbon & Sanha Fan Con Tour: Diffusion in Jakarta to be held on May 13 is canceled. After long discussion and consideration, we have to cancel this event due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control that we could not avoid.”
Moonbin has a younger sister, Moon Sua, who is a member of the South Korean girl group Billlie.
Who is Moon Sua?
Moon Sua, is a South Korean rapper, and singer. She is a lyricist under MYSTIC Story. She is also a member of the girl group Billie. She was born on September 9, 1999, in Cheongju, South Korea.
She appeared as a contestant on the competition show Unpretty Rapstar 2 in 2015. Although she failed to win the show, she ended up becoming the third runner-up. After YG Entertainment announced that they were planning to launch BLACKPINK in 2016, it was rumored that Sua will b included in the lineup. However, when the final band was formed, she was never officially included.
Sua left YG Entertainment after nearly ten years on April 5, 2019. In the following year, it was announced that she would become a trainee under MYSTIC Rookies. She eventually became a member of MYSTIC Story’s girl band Billlie.
The group debuted on November 10, 2021. Their first album was called The Billage of Perception : Chapter One.
