Nathan Griffith, a former Teen Mom 2 star, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

According to PEOPLE, the 35-year-old was charged with domestic assault by strangulation on Friday.

According to the jail’s inmate records, he is presently being held there without posting bond. It was unclear whether Griffith had hired legal counsel to speak on his behalf.

Who is Nathan Griffith?

Born on September 19, 1987, Nathan Griffith is an American actor known for in Teen Mom. The couple split up after she accused him of domestic abuse. From 2013 to 2015, Evans and Griffith’s relationship was tumultuous; they got engaged and then broke it off. As coparents, the two were able to coexist much more amicably; Griffith tweeted in 2019 that their relationship had greatly improved.

“I am so appreciative to finally have a healthy relationship with [Evans]. Something we should of had 3-4 years ago. Especially one, that everyone, is supportive with,” he stated.

Griffith was charged with domestic battery by strangulation in February 2023.

According to the jail’s inmate records, he is presently being held there without posting bond.

It was unclear right away if Griffith had hired a lawyer to speak on his behalf.

According to TMZ, Griffith was detained after Delray Beach, Florida police reacted to a disturbance call made by Griffith’s brother-in-law. After reportedly telling him over the phone that he had “lost it,” choked a woman, and dragged her up the stairs, Griffith’s relative dialled the number.

Griffith’s brother-in-law allegedly stated in court papers obtained by the outlet that he then texted Griffith’s girlfriend to check on her well-being. She said she was not in the response.

Griffith apparently had neck and back scratches, but claimed to the police that they were the result of sex. According to authorities, the lady had bruises rising on her neck.
