Nia Sharma, who was recently trolled by a section of internet users for wearing a backless dress, is an Indian television actor. Her real name is Neha Sharma. Nia has acted in some of the popular Hindi television soaps like ‘Jamai Raja’, ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’, ‘Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel’, ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ and Kaali.

Nia also participated in season 8 of the popular action reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ (KKK). The show is hosted by director Rohit Shetty.

The ‘Jamai Raja’ actor started her acting career with a Star Plus crime thriller ‘Kaali: Ek Agnipariksha.’ The series was inspired by the Ruchika Girhotra case.

Nia’s acting career took a turn for good when she bagged the parallel lead role of Manvi Chaudhary in Star Plus’s Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. In the show, Nia was paired against famous actor and model Kushal Tondon.

Nia, who is a popular actor today with some great shows to her credit, made her OTT debut in 2017 with Vikram Bhatt’s web series ‘Twisted’. She was most recently seen in the second season of her web series Jamai 2.0, which was released digitally on ZEE5 in March 2021.  

Nia, born as Neha, completed a degree in mass communication from Jagannath Institute of management sciences, Rohini, New Delhi.

Neha, who is known for impeccable fashion sense in the industry, often finds herself amid controversies and trolls for her social media posts. 

Recently, she was slammed by a section of internet users who accused her of wearing indecent clothes and called her ‘shameless’ for wearing a backless dress. 

Nia, however, has her way of shutting down the trolls and often gives befitting responses to users who question her dress sense and choice of clothes.

In response to trolls, Nia shared a video wearing the same outfit she was trolled for in different poses to flex her well-toned body. Nia teased the trolls with the video and captioned it, “Don’t be reckless while wearing a Blackless (ye bhi utaar de, nangi, kapde nahi hai kya, shameless…) To all of you..Fluck you very much.”

In 2018, Nia was trolled by a Twitter user who called her the ugliest and most useless celebrity in the industry. “One of the most overrated and ugliest so-called celebrity on Earth is #NiaSharma but full marks to her PR for making her so into news for no reason. In Mumbai Bhelpuri walas earns more than her,” wrote the user.

Giving her a sassy reply, Nia wrote, “I have No PR team to this day babe! i’m a natural I guess.”
