Actor and Dancer Nora Fatehi performed at the closing ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar on Sunday, December 18, ahead of the final between Lionel Messi’s Argentina and Kylian Mbappe’s France. FIFA World Cup tweeted on Saturday morning: “Sunday will be A Night to Remember! Before the #Qatar2022 Final, we’ll have live performances from #FIFAWorldCup Soundtrack stars Davido and Aisha, Ozuna and Gims, and Nora Fatehi, Balqees, Rahma Riad, and Manal.”

Earlier, Fatehi performed at the FIFA World Cup 2022 Fan Festival, hosted by Al Bidda Park in Doha. She had danced to several dance tracks from Bollywood including O Saki Saki. She also danced to the official track for the FIFA World Cup called Light The Sky.

Who is Nora Fatehi?

Nora Fatehi is a Canadian dancer, model, actor, and singer. She is best known for her work in the Indian film industry. She was born on February 6, 1992, in Canada. She comes from a Moroccan Canadian family. Fatehi has also stated in several interviews that she considers herself “an Indian at heart”. She has a younger brother named Omar.

Fatehi completed her schooling at Westview Centennial Secondary School, Toronto. Later, she joined York University, Toronto to pursue her graduation but could not complete her degree. She is an accomplished dancer and master in belly dancing. 

The 30-year-old made her movie debut in 2014 with the Bollywood film Roar: Tiger of the Sundarbans. She also worked in the movies such as Double Barrel, Temper, Bahubali: The Beginning, Kick 2, and Mr. X. She also did a web series titled Ladies Special: Types of Single Girls on a Youtube channel The Timelines. The actor has also delivered stellar performances in films like Bhuj: The Pride of India, Street Dancer 3D, and Bharat.

Fatehi contested in Bigg Boss season 9, where she was a wild card entrant and evicted on day 83. She was a contestant in Jhalak Dikhla Ja in 2016. In 2018, she did a song Dilbar, which is a remake of the 1990s song Dilbar in John Abraham and Aisha Sharma starring movie Satyamev Jayate. 

According to CA Knowledge, Nora Fatehi has an estimated net worth of Rs 39 crore.

In October 2021, her name surfaced in the money laundering case that involved con artists Sukesh Chandrasekar and actor-wife Leena Paul. Fatehi appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the case. In September 2022, Delhi Police Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned her for the second time to interrogate her about the case.
