Who is Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex?

Born Prince Henry Charles Albert David on September 15, 1984, to King Charles and late Princess Diana, he is the fifth in line of succession to the British Throne.

Harry attended Mrs Jane Mynors’ nursery school, as did his elder brother William, Prince of Wales. Young Harry had built himself the reputation of an athlete and rider. He was close to his mother, Princess Diana, who wanted the boys to enjoy a normal lifestyle, frequently taking them to amusement parks, McDonald’s, and the cinema. When Diana passed away, Harry was merely 12 years old.

After months following her death, Harry steered away from public attention. The princes released a joint statement afterward, in September 1998, regarding the death of their mother, requesting Press and the Public to let “Diana rest in peace”, and let them continue their lives without public scrutiny.

Harry attended Eton college in 1998 and was a popular student with several athletic and creative talents. After he graduated, he took a gap year which he spent as a ranch hand on an Australian cattle station. Further extending the break for twelve months, Harry participated in several charitable causes, he even started his own charity along with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho to help orphaned children and other vulnerable groups in the southern African countries.
