Hindi Medium fame Saba Qamar on Friday has called off her wedding with fiance and entrepreneur Azeem Khan. The decision comes days after Khan was accused of harassment by a woman that led to the controversy around his problematic behaviour with women. Saba recently announced planned of getting married to Khan.

Who is Saba Qamar?

Saba Qamar is a Pakistani actor and television presenter. She is one of the most popular and highest-paid celebrities in Urdu entertainment industry. Her work in Pakistani television shows and films are acclaimed for the unconventional portrayal of women in Urdu entertainment.

To the Indian audience, Saba is known as Meeta Batra from the late Irrfan Khan starred blockbuster movie Hindi Medium. She played Irrfan’s wife in the movie who had an obsession for the English language and uses bizarre tricks to get her kid admitted to an English medium school. She also a won a Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination for the project.

Entertainment Career

Saba got her first breakthrough in her 2007 historical drama ‘Jinnah Ke Naam’, in which she played the role of Fatima Jinnah.

She then went on to serve the audience with various hits like pre-partition drama ‘Dastaa, critically acclaimed Uraan and several romantic dramas like ‘Maat’, ‘Jo Chale To Jaan Se Guzar Gaye’ and ‘Pani Jaisa Piyar’.
