Scott Andrew Caan is an American actor best known for playing Detective Sergeant Danny “Danno” Williams in the CBS television series Hawaii Five-0. 

Born on August 23, 1976, to actor James Caan and Sheila Marie Ryan, Scott started the hip-hop group The Whooliganz with The Alchemist. The duo signed a record deal with Tommy Boy/Warner Bros. records in the 1990s and recorded the album Make Way for the W. However, the album was shelved after the release of their first single. The musicians eventually parted ways.

Scott then enrolled himself in the Playhouse West acting school in Los Angeles and began acting in the 1990s. He initially appeared in several low-budget films and independent movies.

He played the role of Charlie Tweede in the movie Varsity Blues (1999), which was his first major role in a motion picture. 

In the same year, he played Drew in the film Saturn and went on to appear in several studio films, including Ready to Rumble (2000), Boiler Room (2000), and American Outlaws (2001).

He made his directorial debut with the film Dallas 362, which was released in 2003 and won a prize at the 2003 Las Vegas Film Festival.

After acting and directing several movies, Scott appeared in the television show Entourage as talent manager Scott Lavin from seasons six to eight. He also played 

Detective Danny “Danno” Williams in Hawaii Five-0, which premiered on September 20, 2010. The following year, he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film for his performance in the show.

In 2014, he and his partner Kacy Byxbee welcomed their first child.
