Shania Twain, 57, is set to be honoured with the Music Icon award at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards. Twain is one of the best-selling musical artists in history, and the best-selling female country music artist of all time.
The veteran singer recently opened up about being sexually abused by her stepfather in an interview with The Times. “I hid myself and I would flatten my boobs,” the singer said, further adding, “I would wear bras that were too small for me, and I’d wear two, play it down until there was nothing girl about me. Make it easier to go unnoticed. Because, oh my gosh, it was terrible – you didn’t want to be a girl in my house.”
