Since the alleged backstage altercation that happened as a result of his remarks at the All Out media scrum, CM Punk has been missing from AEW. Punk was not the only player in the drama who was apparently suspended, other people involved in the fight also had their situations resolved.
Recently, The Elite made a comeback on AEW TV, and Ace Steel was let go by AEW. Shawn Spears, an AEW wrestler, shared his opinions on the situation with CM Punk at a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest.

“Sad, overall sad. That’s what I think. It’s sad. I wish it didn’t happen. That’s the other thing too, I wasn’t there. Most things do happen publicly, but I wasn’t there and I don’t have any first-hand knowledge,” Spears said.
Who is Shawn Spears?
Ronnie William Arneill, a Canadian professional wrestler and professional wrestling trainer, was born on February 19, 1981. He is now signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he competes as Shawn Spears and is a current member of The Pinnacle. He’s also well-known for his tenure as Tye Dillinger in the WWE.

Shawn Spears was Arneill’s ring name when he started his professional wrestling career on the independent scene. He first worked for WWE between 2006 and 2009, appearing in the developmental brands Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) and Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), as well as briefly on the main roster brand ECW under the slightly altered ring name Gavin Spears.
He retreated to the independent scene after leaving WWE in 2009 until returning in 2013 and was assigned to NXT with the new Tye Dillinger persona. Dillinger gained popularity and was moved to the main roster in April 2017. He remained there until his second discharge from the business in February 2019.

He joined the recently established promotion All Elite Wrestling in May 2019 shortly after leaving WWE, going back to his former stage name Shawn Spears.
Cassandra McIntosh, an Australian wrestler better known by her ring names Peyton Royce and Cassie Lee, married Arneill in August 2019. On August 3, 2022, they announced that they were expecting their first child together.
