Actor Shruti Gera, who has worked in films like ‘Toss: A Flip of Destiny’ (2009) and ‘Blue Brave Heart’ (2017), has claimed that drugging and blackmailing young actors to do compromising stuff is common in Bollywood.

“I realised that a lot goes on here in the industry. Young female actors are drugged, their compromising videos are shot and through that people blackmail them and pimp them out. It is very common. Even young male actors face this. They do a lot of things, they honey trap and they make you vulnerable,” she told Hindustan Times.

Talking on the recent arrest of businessman Raj Kundra in connection with making and distributing pornographic films, Gera reveals that she was also approached by casting directors in 2018 for a web series produced by the businessman but she refused the offer.

Directed by Ramesh Khatkar, Gera’s film ‘Toss: A Flip of Destiny’ also starred Rannvijay Singh, Prashant Raj and Ashmit Patel. Her second film ‘Blue Brave Heart’ was about a celebrity actress who comes across a young kid on a film set and grows quite fond of him. Directed by Srivinay Salian, the film had Pravina Bhagwat and Aarav Soneth in other lead roles.

Shruti’s journey in Bollywood was very limited as after doing few projects she took a sabbatical and ventured into her cosmetic range called Vanveda India.
