Actor Chris Noth admitted to cheating on his wife, Tara Wilson but denied allegations of sexual assault brought against him in 2021.
In an interview with USA Today he said, “I strayed on my wife, and it’s devastating to her and not a very pretty picture. What it isn’t is a crime.”
“You give yourself the same excuses that many men do; it’s just a little side dance, and it’s fun,” he added. “You’re not hurting anybody. No one’s going to know about this, you know, and sex is just enjoyable. And suddenly, a lot of people want to have sex with you. It’s like, ‘Well, I’m not going to get this chance again.’”

In December 2021, two women came forward to accuse him days after the spinoff of hit series Sex and the City, called And Just Like That premiered on then-HBO Max. Later, three other women also followed suit with accusations of assault.
Noth played Mr. Big on both the original series as well as it’s spinoff till he was killed in the infamous Peloton incident on the show. At the time, he said that the accusations were “categorically false” and that the incidents were consensual. No criminal charges were filed against him.
However, Noth predicted that there could be number of civil lawsuits against him as it was “a money train for a lot of people.”
“There’s nothing I can say to change anyone’s mind when you have that kind of a tidal wave,” he said. “It sounds defensive. I’m not. There’s no criminal court. There’s no criminal trial. There’s nothing for me to get on the stand about and get my story out, get witnesses. And there’s even more absurd add-ons that are completely ridiculous, that have absolutely no basis in fact. And I don’t like talking about it because as soon as I do, you’ll get the Daily Mail or someone grabbing a part of it and doing it, and I don’t want my kids seeing that.”

Who is Tara Wilson?
Chris Noth is married to Tara Wilson. The couple wed in 2012 and share two sons, Orion, 15, and Keats, 3.
Tara Wilson was born in 1979, in Vancouver, Canada. She moved to the US with her family when she was young. She was crowned Miss West Virginia in 2000. She began pursuing an acting career, and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
Wilson started her acting career with the 2001 drama Piñero. The movie starred Benjamin Bratt. She also appeared in 2004 on an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She also appeared in a small role in the independent drama Frame of Mind, with Noth.
Wilson met Noth in 2001, while working as a bartender at New York City’s The Cutting Room. The lounge-cum-music club was co-owned by Noth. Although two of them felt an instant spark between them, they kept their romance on private for years.
“Actors can be chameleons,” Wilson said. “If you want stability, I’d say a [go with a] businessman. If you want passion, then actors. But I’ve got two in one. At the beginning, I’d say we broke up every two weeks,” Wilson said of their eight-year courtship. “Then it was every two months. Then it was every six months.”
At the time that the sexual assault allegations broke, New York Post reported that Wilson had removed her wedding ring. “Tara is upset and things are hanging by a thread,” the anonymous source said. “She just wants to protect the kids. That is her number one priority.” However, since then Wilson has continued to support Noth.
