Tony Saxon, the project manager overseeing the remodeling of Kanye West’s Malibu home is suing the rapper after he was fired over a disagreement with his former boss over the removal of the windows and electricity from the house.
Who is Tony Saxon?
According to the lawsuit, Saxon was hired by Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, back in September 2021 as project manager, and caretaker, and to ensure security 24/7 for the mogul’s Malibu property.
Saxon claimed he was working 16-hour days and sleeping on the floor while he worked on Ye’s remodeling. He mentioned in the lawsuit that the rapper did not care if Saxon was literally using a coat as makeshift bedding.
Saxon claimed Kanye ignored all of his concerns and only paid him for one week of work. Things escalated for the worse in November 2021 Ye allegedly demanded Saxon remove all the windows and electricity from the house.
Saxon said he “expressed concerns about the extreme danger of such actions.” His refusal to comply with the specific instructions from West led the rapper to allegedly shout at Saxon and continue to insist on moving large generators inside the house. Saxon claimed that he was worried that it would potentially lead to a fire hazard.
With the two of them at loggerheads, Saxon claimed that West threatened him and mentioned that he would be considered “an enemy” if he didn’t comply with the demands. However, Saxon refused to budge and was reportedly told by West to “get the hell out.”

According to Saxon, Ye also told him, “If you don’t do what I say, you’re not going to work for me, I’m not gonna be your friend anymore and you’ll just see me on TV.” At this, he told Ye he didn’t watch TV and his contract was terminated on the spot. Saxon is now claiming that the rapper violated the labor code. He is suing Ye for unpaid wages, plus damages.
