An 80-year-old woman named Victoria Valentino has sued comedian Bill Cosby, accusing him of raping her in 1969. She filed the lawsuit on Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Who is Victoria Valentino?

Victoria Valentino is a former Playboy model. She is 80 years old. As per reports, She was elected as the Playmate of the Month in 1969, when she was 19 years.

Valentino has accused the 85-year-old of raping her five decades ago. She has filed the suit under a new law that lifted statute limitations on sex assault cases. The new California law, allows Valentino to file the suit and allows her to seek damages no matter how long ago the crime happened.

Valentino said that she met Cosby at an acting audition. She also asserted that Cosby drugged and raped her in 1969 after they met at the Melrose Avenue restaurant Café Figaro.

Cosby’s spokesperson Andrew Wyatt in a statement said, “In my opinion, these women are not victims of sexual assault, they are victims of greed.” He also added ”Victoria Valentino has skirted from town to town promoting her alleged allegations against Mr. Cosby to anyone that would give her platform, without any proof or facts. It’s unfortunate that media has not vetted the inconsistencies in her many statements.”

Valentino in an interview with the Washington Post, said “It’s not about money, it’s about accountability. Rape steals something from you that cannot be repaired or restored”, “It impacts everything in your life. It’s like a stone dropped into a still pool and all of those expanding ripples touch shores you could never have imagined.”

Previously, Cosby was convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting basketball coach, Andrea Constand in April 2018. He was sentenced to three to 10 years of jail time but served only three years and his conviction was overturned.
