Charles Elias Ingalls, popular EDM musician, died on Friday. He was 25. 

 “Amongst many things, Charles was a larger-than-life presence that deeply moved and affected all who knew him. A son, a brother, a friend, a poet and an absolutely brilliant musician. He lived his life with a sense of magic and inspiration that most people only dream of,” Ingalls’ electronic music band Lab Group wrote on social media.

Charles Ingalls was found dead early in the morning at a hotel in Nashville. His death is currently under investigation by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. 

Metro Police said there was no evidence to trauma to the body. Autopsy and toxicology tests are pending.

Charles Ingalls was born in 1996 in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Better known by his stage name “CharlestheFirst”, Ingalls was a part of the Lab Group along with Kyle Bishoff (Supertask) and Robert Hunter (Potions). He was discovered by a friend at the McGavock Pike Sheraton.

Ingalls was set to perform at the Caverns in Pellham, Tennessee on Saturday.

“Sending love and light to everyone hurting from this. He was an inspiration. His music will carry on his legacy through all of us,” a fan wrote on Twitter. 

“Still in shock.. rest in peace charles thank you for helping me through some of my darkest days. You won’t be forgotten,” another one commented.

“Rip Charles. Legend. Champion. King. You will be missed dearly by everyone your music touched,” wrote another user.
