Rapper J $tash, whose real name is Justin Joseph, reportedly fatally shot a woman before turning the gun on himself at a home in Temple City on Saturday. 

In a statement on Monday, Sheriff’s Deputy Grace Medrano said deputies responded to the home on Saturday morning and found a man and a woman unresponsive with gunshot wounds.

“Deputies from Temple Sheriff’s Station responded to a home regarding a call of possible domestic violence on a gunshot victim,” he explained in a statement.

“When deputies arrived, they discovered two victims, a 27-year-old female Hispanic and a 28-year-old male Black unresponsive inside the home. The female victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds, while the male victim sustained an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

Both of them were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities removed 3 children from the home. 

“Three juveniles, ranging in age from 5 to 11, were removed from the home unharmed upon the deputies’ arrival. The three lived in the home and are believed to be the children of the deceased female victim,” Medrano said.

Who was rapper J $tash?

Born September 23, 1993, the 28-year-old was an upcoming rapper in the entertainment industry, who rose to fame following the release of his 2016 album, Hood Rich. He has since released an additional three albums including No More Distractions, Relax With Me, and 6ix Before 7even. He had also founded his own record label and rap group called Relax Rekords. Prior to his death, the rapper had 164,000 followers on Instagram. His net worth is estimated to be around $30 million.
