Actress Judy Farrell, who was best known for starring n the hit TV show, M*A*S*H, has died at the age of 84 after suffering a stroke.Michael, Judy’s son, told TMZ that his mother passed away in a hospital on Sunday. She has suffered a stroke nine days before that which had made her lose the ability to speak. Who was Judy Farrell?

Judy Farrell was born on May 11, 1938, in Quapaw, Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a fine arts degree in theater. She worked as a high school English and Drama teacher at Laguna Beach High School in Laguna Beach, California.She is most notable for her role as Nurse Able in M*A*S*H. Judy also starred in several TV classics such as Get Smart, The Partridge Family, and Quincy, M.E., and movies like J.W. Coop (1971), Chapter Two (1979), and Long-Term Relationship (2006).In August 1963, she married her first husband, Mike Farrell. He landed the part of Captain B.J. Hunnicutt in the sitcom. In the 1960s, she and Farrell performed together at the Laguna Playhouse.

The Farrells’ marriage was worked into the script of one episode of M*A*S*H: ‘The Colonel’s Horse.’ Mike’s character B.J. Hunnicutt said his wife Peg was from Judy’s hometown of Quapaw, and that her father’s name was Floyd Hayden.

They got divorced in the 1980s. She is survived by Bratcher and her two children, Michael and Erin.
