Lance Reddick, HBO’s The Wire star reportedly died on Friday, March 17, 2023, when he was discovered dead at his home in Los Angeles. He was found dead at 60 at his Studio City home on Friday morning around 9:30 am, reported TMZ.
The cause of the actor’s death is not disclosed yet, but the appears to be a natural death, reported TMZ citing law enforcement officials.

Who was Lance Reddick?
Lance was born on December 31, 1962, in Baltimore, Maryland to Dorothy Gee and Solomon Reddick.
He studied at the Friends School of Baltimore. He learnt music at the Peabody Preparatory Institute and at the Walden School during his teenage.
Reddick earned a Bachelor of Music degree, studying classical music composition at the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music. In the 1980s, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts. He earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama in 1994.

The “John Wick” movie franchise was best known for his act as Cedric Daniels in The Wire first appeared in 2002. Playing Phillip Broyles in Fringe is another popular role played by him. He has acted in Godzilla vs. Kong, Faith-Based and Little Woods.
Reddick’s debut album Contemplations & Remembrances was released in 2007. He was featured in the White House Down in 2013. He also acted in DRONE, a YouTube web series.
The late musician provided voice and likeness for video game characters Martin Hatch in Quantum Break, Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, and Commander Zavala in the Destiny franchise.
Reddick played Chief Irvin Irving in Amazon Prime’s Bosch. He portrayed Albert Wesker in Netflix’s live-action Resident Evil series.
Lance married Stephanie Diane Day in 2011, who later changed her name to Stephanie Reddick. Lance also has two children, Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick from Suzanne Yvonne Louis, his first wife.
