Lee Jihan, a South Korean actor-singer, was killed in the catastrophic Halloween 2022 stampede in Seoul‘s Itaewon area.
The agency that handled Lee Jihan’s projects, 935 Entertainment, verified the news. “Actor Lee Jihan, a precious family member of 935 Entertainment and 9 Ato Entertainment, has become a star in the sky and left us. We would like to express our heartfelt condolences to his family, who are in deep grief due to the sudden demise of the actor.”
“Lee Jihan was a sweet and warm friend to all. We can’t believe that we won’t be able to see the infinitely bright and innocent actor Ji-han who always smiled and greeted us anymore.” the statement.

Who was Lee Jihan?
Lee Jihan was a well-known reality television star and singer-actor. He was born on October 29, 1998, in South Korea. He was 24 years old at the time of his death.

He rose to fame after appearing in the second season of Produce 101, a renowned reality singing competition series in which 101 candidates compete for a chance to join an 11-member K-pop group.
He auditioned for a reality show by singing a cover of EXO’s Overdose. Jihan was a K-pop trainee at the time and was represented by Pan Entertainment. Jihan was also part of a collective performance that included Infinite’s Be Mine. Jihan was eliminated in the fifth episode.

He made an appearance in the Korean drama series Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day in 2019.
Jihan died on October 30, 2022 in Seoul’s Itaewon area.
Itaewon is well-known for its Halloween celebrations, which draw visitors from all over the world each year. Thousands of people gathered on the streets of Itaewon on Saturday to celebrate Halloween. The overwhelming crowd caused panic and a tragic crowd surge, killing at least 153 individuals. According to CNN, police stated that the victims were largely young, in their teens and early twenties.
