Logan
Williams was a Canadian child actor who is best known for his character of
young Barry Allen on The CW superhero series “The Flash”. He had died in April
last year and his cause of death was revealed on Thursday as “unintentional
illicit drug toxicity (fentanyl).

Born on
April 9, 2003, in Vancouver, Canada, Williams got his first audition at the age
of 9 when he and his mother were stopped by a casting director in a mall. Though
initially his family was not convinced, Williams really wanted to try it out.
He was 10 when he aced his first audition for the movie “The Color of Rain”.

He landed
several other roles in the next two years but his most significant role was
playing Young Barry Allen in “The Flash” in 2014-15. He took a break from
acting, saying it was too stressful juggling the profession and school.

Logan
attended a private school in Vancouver. His mother, Marlyse Williams, said that
he enjoyed skateboarding, playing soccer, and hanging out with his friends. He
also had an interest in music. According to his mother, he was a happy kid who
loved to make jokes and prank others. He was also a “very deep thinker and he
really cared about other people”.

Talking to
the New York Post after the actor died in April 2020, his mother said that her
son was addicted to opioids for three years. He also spent some time at a
British Columbia facility in 2019 before going on to live in a group home.
According to his mother, she “did everything but handcuff him to me to try to
keep him safe.”
