The former BET CEO, Debra Lee opened up more about her personal relationships while on a press tour for her upcoming biography, I Am Debra Lee.

On Good Morning America, Lee revealed her relationship with Bob Johnson and confessed that both of them had cheated on their marriages. She added that he threatened to terminate her when she decided to end their relationship.

Debra Lee had two kids, a son, and a daughter. However, Quinn Coleman, the son of Debra Lee and Randy Coleman, unfortunately, passed away suddenly on August 16 at the age of 31.

Who was Quinn Coleman?

Quinn Coleman was a music label executive, DJ, and the son of former BET head Debra Lee. As a DJ, Coleman went by the name of DJ Spicoli. Coleman also specialized as a music promoter and entrepreneur.

In addition to all this, Coleman was the senior director of A&R at Capitol Records, a record company whose iconic circular building is a well-known landmark in Hollywood. Coleman was a founding member of the DC to BC music marketing group that organized the Trillectro festival in Washington, D.C. It was created to provide a platform for regional and up-and-coming hip-hop and electronic music performers to connect with fans.

A spokesperson for Lee released the following statement after Quinn’s passing:

“Quinn Coleman, son of Debra Lee and Randy Coleman, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 16 at the age of 31. The cause of death is unknown. Quinn was a loving son, brother, cousin, and friend, a passionate DJ and A&R executive with a bright future ahead of him. Debra and her family are devastated by Quinn’s passing and ask for privacy and respect as they grieve together.”

Quinn was only 31 years old when he died. He is now survived by his father, Randy Coleman, and mother, Debra Lee. The former couple also has a daughter, named Ava.
