Robert Blake, well-known for his role in Little Rascals, died on Thursday in Los Angeles. He was 89. He died from heart disease, according to a statement released by his niece, Noreen Austin.

“He died at home with family around him peacefully, long-term heart issues,” Fox News Digital reported. “He spent the last few years listening to jazz music and playing his guitar and watching classic movies,” it added.

He had an estimated net worth of $3 million, as per celebritynetworth.com. 

His net worth was over $10 million until 2001 when Blake got involved in a controversy. He was actually charged with the murder of his second wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley. He suffered significant financial aftermaths for his wife’s murder accusation. But it was proved to a wrongful death lawsuit was brought against him in California.

Marriages and Children

Blake first married actress Sondra Kerr in 1961. They had two children together, Noah Blake born in 1965 is an actor and Delinah Blake in 1966. The couple later divorced in 1983.

Blake later married Bonny Lee Bakley in 1999. Bakley was from Wharton, New Jersey and had a history of nine marriages and was infamous for exploiting older men, especially celebrities for money. Her marriage with Blake on November 19, 2000, was her tenth after DNA tests proved that Blake fathered a child born to Bakley before marriage. Blake was murdered on May 4, 2001.

Blake applied for a marriage license for his fiancée, Pamela Hudak, at 82, in March 2016. He knew Pamela for decades. Blake filed for divorce from Pamela on December 7, 2018.

Blake gained fame at a young age as a child actor in the Our Gang, known as The Little Rascals. He was seen in dozens of the Red Ryder western films and played roles in The Big Noise, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre and The Black Rose.

His portrayal of real-life murderer Perry Smith in Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood was appreciated. He starred in the TV cop series Baretta from 1975 to 1978.
