Sienna Weir, a 2022 Miss Universe finalist from Australia, has died at the age of 23 after a tragic horse riding incident as per Metro.

Who was Sienna Weir?

Born in 2000, Sienna Weir was a Australian Miss Universe finalist in 2022. She passed away in 2023 in a horse riding accident.

Weir was always an avid horse rider, she started as a little child. She has also previously spoken about her love for horse riding to Gold Coast.

Photographer Chris Dwyer also hailed Weir a ‘kind soul.’

‘You were one of the kindest souls in the world, you lit up the room and the world is a lot darker now that you are gone. Hope wherever you are, you’re being the gremlin we all know and love. Miss you so much already,’ he wrote.

The winner of the beauty contest also held a dual degree in psychology and English literature from Sydney University.

In the coming years, she intended to relocate to London to be closer to her family and to broaden her social and professional networks.

Weir competed in the 2017 Australian Miss Universe competition as one of 27 finalists. She previously discussed her love of horseback riding, telling Gold Coast Magazine that she started when she was just a young child.

Another one of Weir’s friend wrote – “Heaven has gained the most beautiful angel today. I’ll miss everything about you Siena, I love you. I’m so lucky to have known you. Thank you for everything.”

“Oh my gosh. This is the saddest of news. What a beautiful girl inside and out. Her smile and energy will be missed. Condolences to her loved ones,” wrote another.
