American hip-hop enthusiasts were dealt a shock on Sunday, November 6, when news emerged that popular rapper Tame One had died at the age of 52. While news of the rapper’s death made rounds on social media platforms, the cause of his death was not clear.
The rapper lived in Newark, New Jersey and was a part of two duos, named Artifacts and Leak Bros. Following his death, fans of the rapper paid homage to the late hip-hop artist on social media platforms. His death comes only a day after the death of popular pop singer Aaron Carter.

Who was Tame One?
Tame One was a famous American rapper, who was born on March 20, 1970, in Newark, New Jersey, United States. He died on Sunday, November 6, 2022, only a day after the death of popular pop singer and songwriter Aaron Carter. He was also one of the most notable members of the hip-hop group The Weatherman which consisted of Aesop Rock, Camu Tao, Copywright, Jakki Tha Motamouth and others.
Born as Rahem Brown, Tame One was also the first cousin of famous American rapper and DJ Redman. He released Between a Rock and a Hard Place, an album which was also a collaboration project with El Da Sensei, in 1994. The duo went on to release another collaboration album named That’s Them three years later in 1997.

The rapper had released several collaboration albums in his life, with the likes of Artifacts, Cage, Del The Funky Homosapien and others. He also released two solo albums in his career. Tame One had worked on different projects with the likes of Aesop Rock, Vast Aire, Big Daddy Rap Beast and Travis McCoy.
In 2002, Tame One joined Weatherman, one of the most notable hip-hop supergroups in 2002. He went on to release his maiden solo album, When Rappers Attack, the same year. Three years later, Tame One released his second solo album, which was named OG Bobby Johnson. His collaboration album with Dusted Dons came out a year later, and was named Slow Suicide Stimulus.
