Tony Ray Winchester, a man who became popular on the streaming platform Twitch with the name rsgloryandgold, died of cancer at the age of 69. Besides his Twitch channel, Winchester also had a channel on YouTube that went by the name RSGlory AndGold, where he frequently posted videos on his health, his Runescape games, and updates on his daily life.

Who was Tony Ray Winchester?

Tony Ray Winchester was a Twitch streamer and YouTuber who passed away at the age of 69 from cancer. He was born on September 29, 1953 in North Carolina’s Swain County. Winchester, who had three siblings, moved to California with his family when he was six years old. In high school, Winchester played football in the fullback position.

Winchester owned a number of businesses over the years, including a print shop and a bar. His professional commitments had taken him to numerous countries, including India and the Philippines. He later moved to Missouri.

It was in 2004 that Winchester first began to play Runestone on the insistence of his nieces and nephews. However, it was only in 2015 that he started his own Twitch channel. On the day he began streaming, Tony Winchester managed to gain 1,000 followers. Within four months, the total view count on his channel managed to reach one million.

Winchester’s charming personality, his comedic nature, and skills at Runestone made him a loved figure to his followers.

The popular streamer found himself in the midst of a scandal in 2016 when he was falsely accused of being a convicted paedophile by YouTuber Keemstar. On October 12, 2022, Winchester passed away after battling cancer for four months.
