Beyonce and Adidas have mutually agreed to part ways, the Hollywood Reporter reported citing insiders. This is after the Grammy-winning singer’s clothing line Ivy Park fell way below its 2022 sales projections of $250 million, as per The Wall Street Journal.

Adidas and Beyonce got into a partnership in 2018 when she launched Ivy Park. She also developed new footwear and apparel for the brand. However, there were creative differences between Ivy Park and Adidas.

While the reason for the break-up remains unclear, reports have suggested that Beyonce is ‘excitedly looking to reclaim her brand. She is looking to chart her own path going forward.

Despite the success of the collaboration, rumors have been circulating about a potential split for some time. The fall in sales of Ivy Park in 2022 has been suggested as a reason for the breakup, but this has not been confirmed by either party.

In 2016, Beyoncé launched Ivy Park as a joint venture with Sir Philip Green of Topshop. The partnership ended in 2018, with Beyoncé gaining full ownership of the brand.

Despite the split, Beyoncé remains busy with her Renaissance World Tour set to launch in May. The tour will wind its way through Europe before returning home to North America. Last month, Beyoncé made history by becoming the most-awarded artist in Grammys history after winning her 32nd honor.
