Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, famously known as KK has given music lovers some of the most iconic songs in the last three decades. The singer was known for his versatile discography. His romantic ballads, with no doubt, topped the charts.

KK did playback singing for several Bollywood movies and some of the songs remain a favourite among music lovers till date.

However, there’s no denying Emraan Hashmi’s most popular songs have vocals by the eminent singer and the actor-singer combination never failed to woo fans.

After KK’s shocking demise, Emraan Hashmi, as a hashtag, made his way to the Twitter trends list as fans remembered this unforgettable actor-singer combination that delivered some of the hit songs over the past decades.

From Zara Sa to Beetein Lamhein, there were numerous KK songs picturised on Emraan Hashmi. Twitter users took a trip down memory lane and shared snippets of videos of the songs and fondly remembered the “good old days”.

“It’s so shocking that you have gone too soon #kk you will be forever in our hearts, #EmraanHashmi x kk duo was amazing and thanks for providing us such amazing songs, rest in peace legend,” a user wrote.

“Back to childhood days, I used to think that I used to think it’s #EmraanHashmi who’s singing while dancing. But it was legendary,” another Twitter user wrote.

KK died in Kolkata on Tuesday shortly after a live performance at a concert by Gurudas College at south Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha. The autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday (June 1) to ascertain the exact reason for his death. However, doctors have said they suspected cardiac arrest to be the cause of the death.

It is reported that KK felt uneasy during the performance also and apparently complained about the glare of the lights. On his way to the hotel, he said he was feeling cold when the air conditioner was switched on.
