Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak and Kroy Bierman are living in the same Georgia mansion, with their four children, despite filing for divorce, according to a report by TMZ that cites exclusively obtained legal documents of their divorce.

Amid reports of mounting financial woes, the family’s predicament has caught the public eye. In February, the house they were residing in was foreclosed upon, adding to their troubles. Though a grace period is typically given to homeowners to bring their payments up to date, it remains uncertain where the family stands in that process.

The uncertain future of the family’s home has only served to further exacerbate their financial struggles, which have been the subject of widespread coverage in the media.

It was also revealed earlier that they owe a staggering amount to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the state of Georgia. According to reports, the couple owes $1.1 million in back taxes, interest, and penalties to the IRS from the years 2013, 2017, and 2018. Furthermore, they owe the state of Georgia $150,000 in unpaid taxes from the year 2018 alone.

The divorce documents states that their divorce was because of the marriage being “Irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.” No further details about why it broke up was given. Speaking to sources close to the estranged couple, TMZ found that they were equally surprised by it and had no clue of what led to the separation. At this point, it is also unclear for how long they will continue to live together at the plush Georgia mansion.

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann first met at a charity event in May 2010. Their initial introduction was captured by Bravo producers. They welcomed their first son, Kroy Jagger, a.k.a. KJ, in May 2011. In November 2011, they tied the knot at their Georgia home. In August 2012, they welcomed their second son, Kash.
