WWE on Wednesday announced the host city and dates of WrestleMania 40. The two-day mega event will be held in Philadelphia in 2024. 

Philadelphia won the bid for WrestleMania 40, years after losing out on the 31st and 32nd edition of the event. The Lincoln Financial Field, home to NFL team Philadelphia Eagles, will host the WWE extravaganza.

“On behalf of WWE, we are thrilled to bring WrestleMania back to the City of Brotherly Love,” WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events John Saboor said.

Schedule and venue of WrestleMania 40:

The WrestleMania 40 will be held across two days –  Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, 2024. The event will take place at the the Lincoln Financial Field. 

The Friday Night SmackDown, 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, and Monday Night Raw will follow WrestleMania. All three will take place at the Wells Fargo Center.

Fan events will take place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center throughout the week. Multiple community outreach events like including hospital visits and Be a STAR bullying prevention rallies will also be held. 

“We are excited to help showcase the industry’s most iconic event in front of a global viewing audience and look forward to providing WWE fans in attendance with a first-class experience at Lincoln Financial Field,”Eagles President and PHL Sports Chair Don Smolenski said.

A lone WrestleMania was hosted by Philadelphia in 1999. The event has generated more than $1.25 billion in cumulative economic impact for the host cities over the past decade.

The week-long series of events will help put a global spotlight on our great city while also generating a major impact for our local economy,” said Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney.
