Joe Goldberg, who plays the lead character in You, has lied, schemed, stalked, and murdered his way to a number of happy endings, narrowly escaped being killed himself, and eluded the law on a number of different (and unbelievable) occasions.
With the fourth season approaching and Joe starting again in London, this very charismatic serial killer is ready to wreak havoc once more.

Why did Joe move to London?
Love (Victoria Pedretti), Joe’s unhappy wife, confronted him about his developing fascination with Marienne (Tati Gabrielle), the librarian he encountered in their Californian suburb as the third season of You came to a conclusion. Love invites Marienne to their home and reveals the truth to her about Joe’s past. Love gets ready to kill Joe when Marienne departs, but Joe poisons her first, pulls off a murder-suicide, and sets their house on fire. Then, in an effort to find Marienne, he leaves his son Henry at the door of a friendly colleague and makes a hasty trip to Paris, where she was born.
But season four begins after Joe has relocated to London and taken on the persona of Jonathan Moore, a professor with a beard who wears a tweed jacket. He’s still grieving the loss of Marienne, but he starts to enjoy teaching and fits in with his new friends. That is, until the “eat the rich killer” emerges, a killer who starts killing people in his affluent circle before turning their attention to him. Joe realizes that they are getting ready to expose him when he starts to receive frightening signals. Can he find them before they ruin his brand-new existence? To learn more, turn on the television.

“All he wants is to prove he’s not a terrible man, by living quietly… nursing his broken heart and thoroughly minding his own business,” You’s showrunner and co-creator Sera Gamble said of Joe, in a Netflix preview of the upcoming season. “[But] this mysterious person is awfully curious about Professor Moore, threatening Joe and everyone he cares about. Sometimes it takes a killer to catch a killer. Joe did say he wanted to redeem himself… but we’ll leave it to you to decide if redemption is possible for a man like Joe Goldberg.”
