Filmmaker Zoya Khan is all set to launch veteran Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan in her next project. The project is going to be an Indian adaptation of the International comic book Archie. Suhana will play the central role in the movie, reported Pinkvilla.

The movie is a teenage story and Zoya has been looking for multiple young actors to play a bunch of friends, “a source close to the project told Pinkvilla. However, the casting is still underway but it has been established that Suhana will play one of the integral characters, the source added.

Suhana Khan has done a few short films before, however,  Archie would mark her official debut in Bollywood as an actor. Archie is currently in the nascent stage at the moment, and the final paperwork will be done once Suhana and her father, Shah Rukh Khan nods the bound script for launch, said the Pinkvilla source.

As far as the script is concerned, the Bollywood version of it is still in making. However, the story of the comic Archie revolves around the character and his gang of friends – Reggie, Jughead, Betty, Veronica, Moose, Midge, Dilton, Big Ethel, Mr Lodge, Miss Grundy, Pop Tate, Mr. Weatherbee, Smithers, Stevens among others who belong to the Riverdale High School.

Suhana was last seen in Suhana Khan in ‘The Grey Part of Blue’, for which she earned a lot of appreciation. The 10-minute short film, directed by Theodore Gimeno, also featured Robin Gonella in a key role.

Suhana Khan is the daughter of star actor Shah Rukh Khan and interior designer Gauri Khan. Suhana has two brothers- Aryan and Abram.

The Khan family has never kept it a secret that Suhana and Aryan both want to enter into Bollywood. Suhana aspires to be an actor and has worked in several short films while Aryan wants to be a filmmaker.
