Fast-food giant Burger King is switching things up this Pride Month with the Pride Whopper, a burger that contains two identical buns rather than the regular top and bottom bun set.

“We are setting an example for individuality and freedom and stand for a respectful interaction with each other,” Burger King said on its official website.

“Equal rights. Empathy. Understanding. No matter where you come from, no matter who you love, no matter what you look like or what you believe in: Time to be proud,” the fast-food chain added.

The Pride Whopper will be up for grabs until June 20 for patrons living in Austria, according to Mashable.

The burger, which was unveiled with the tagline “Time to Be Proud,” comes with regular toppings of a flame-grilled beef patty. One can also order the plant-based version of it with ingredients such as lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mayo, and ketchup.

The burger is a part of a limited-edition menu that was formulated “for equal love and equal rights.”

While the Pride Whopper will not be devoured in the United States, Burger King US has shown support for the LGBTQ+ community in the past through regular Whoppers with rainbow packaging.

Last year, the food chain showed LGBTQ+ support while taking a subtle dig at Chick-Fil-A, which remains closed on Sundays.

“During #pride month (even on Sundays) your chicken sandwich craving can do good! we are making a donation to (Human Rights Campaign) for every Ch’King sold,” Burger King US wrote on Twitter.

The month of June is celebrated as Pride Month by members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community to remember the Stonewall riots and spread awareness about gender identities and the social issues surrounding them.
