Popular Gujarati folk singer Urvashi Radadiya was showered with a bucket full of cash during one of her performances. The singer posted a video of her performance on Instagram.

In the video, Radadiya is seen performing with her musicians on stage that is already carpeted with cash. In a few seconds, a man comes from behind and showers her with a bucket full of cash. Urvashi smiles and removes the piles of currency notes from her body and her harmonium and continues the performance. People were enjoying her singing and continued to shower money at her.

Later in the same video, the same man showers Rs 500 notes one by one on her, making for an interesting scene.

The singer expressed her gratitude to everyone in her Instagram post. She said the event was organized during the Tulsi Vivah ceremony organized by the Shri Samast Hirawadi Group in Gujarat. Urvashi thanked her fans and audience for showering her with “priceless love”.

The video has been viewed over 2.5 lakh times and notched up over 16,000 likes. The comments section is filled with various reactions from people and her fans.

“Keep growing, keep shining,” an Instagram user commented. “Very nice didi, lots of love,” said another user. A user wrote that Urvashi’s voice and luck have both worked very well for her. Another user commented, “God bless you with the voice.” A third user who seemed surprised with the currency shower at the event said, “Baap re! paiso ki baarish”.

However, many viewers objected to the currency shower, calling it disrespectful. A user wrote, “This is very disrespectful. Also why  shower notes like this?”

In her Instagram bio, Urvashi Radadiya calls herself the “Queen of Gujrati folk”, the singer is quite active on social media and has more than 2 lakh followers on Instagram. She regularly posts reels of her singing soothing Gujrati songs.

Earlier this month, a video had gone viral of Radadiya pausing her performance to give money to a man searching for food in a trash bin.
