Justin calls his mother one of his biggest inspirations and the best cook he knows.

He visited India in 2017 and on the show, he experimented with all kinds of cuisines, including Indian. Among the dishes that won him judges’ praises include Indian chicken tacos, flatbread and pickle salad, Indian chicken curry, among others.

“What the actual heck!” Justin exclaimed after his big win.

“It’s a surreal feeling,” he said, adding that it would take time to sink in.

“I’m keen to party with these guys, but a huge thank you to the judges, the other contestants – Pete, Kishwar. Pete in particular. ‘I freaking love you, bro,'” Justin said.

He called winning the Masterchef competition the “best experience” of his entire life.
