HBO has released the official teaser of the upcoming Game Of Thrones prequel series titled ‘House of the Dragon’. The show which was announced roughly two years ago owes its existence to George R. R. Martin’s book Fire and Blood.
The book revolves around the life of the Targaryen’s and tells us all about the history of the family. It is set 200 years before the novels that Game of Thrones is based on.
The trailer’s reveal comes as a surprise to everyone. It was first seen at Warner Media’s HBO Max European launch event and since then, it has been made available on YouTube.

But the big question that looms is whether or not the fans would be willing to return to the Game of Thrones fandom after a disappointing end of the show which was once put on a pedestal.
The series has almost disappeared from pop culture but perhaps, some fans still have a soft corner for a show that kept them on their toes for a long time.
In the trailer we can see Matt Smith’s character, Prince Daemon Targaryen saying, “Gods, kings, fire and blood,”
Daemon continues, “Dreams didn’t make us kings, dragons did,” The one minute trailer consists of eye appealing visuals and heavily relies on the brand of Game of Thrones to shoot to popularity.
The show has been co-created by Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik. HBO has been busy shooting for several spinoffs generating from its most popular and critically acclaimed series. One of them being The Sea Snake, which will focus on a nautical adventurer from Westeros.
House of the Dragon is expected to air in 2022 and the fans will be able to stream it on HBO Max.
