As soon as Gettr was announced, Netizens flooded social media with memes.
" GETTR? They may as well have named their app MOLESTR," a user tweeted.
"Some day, Gettr will be taught in CS classes to show how the 'I could code that in a weekend' completely misses the point," another one said.
Here is a look at some other hilarious reactions:
Talking about Donald Trump's participation, Miller during the interview with Fox News said that the username @realDonaldTrump “is waiting for him and ready to go… I hope he joins, but President Trump has a number of different options he’s considering.”
Miller also added that Gettr will verify high-profile users and he claimed that Trump is not funding the company.
Jason Miller described Gettr as a cancel-free zone that is focused on free speech.
"These big tech oligarchs try to dominate and control what people think, it almost reminds of that George Orwell book 1984," he added. Miller told Fox News.
The character limit set for Gettr is 777. As per the makers, users will be able to post clearer pictures and videos for up to three minutes on the application.
