As India has been hit by a ferocious second wave of COVID-19, with nearly 400,000 new cases being recorded daily, states and union territories (UTs) imposed restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus. While some imposed weekend curfews, others imposed partial lockdowns, while a full-fledged lockdown was imposed in several states.

Here’s a list of states, UTs that have imposed COVID curfew or lockdown:

* Andhra Pradesh: The state has implemented a state-wide curfew from May 5 till May 18 that comes into effect at 12 noon and ends at 6 am.

* Bihar: The state has imposed an eleven-day lockdown from May 4 till 15

* Delhi: CM Arvind Kejriwal announced on May 1 that the lockdown was extended by a week. The lockdown first came into effect in Delhi from April 19. 

* Goa: A 15-day state-wide lockdown will come into effect at 9 am on May 9.

* Haryana: A seven-day lockdown has been imposed in the state, starting May 3.

* Himachal Pradesh: A 10-day lockdown has been imposed in the state from May 7 to 16.

* Jharkhand: Lockdown-like restrictions are in place in the state till May 13.

* Karnataka: A two-week lockdown will be imposed in the state on May 10 and will end on May 24.

* Kerala: A strict lockdown has been put in place in the state, starting May 8 till May 16.

* Madhya Pradesh: A complete lockdown has been imposed in the state till May 15.

* Maharashtra: The state has imposed lockdown-like restrictions till May 15.

* Mizoram: The state has announced a seven-day complete lockdown, starting May 10.

*Odisha: A 14-day strict lockdown has been imposed in the state till May 19.

* Rajasthan: Lockdown will be imposed in the state from May 10 till 24.

*Sikkim: Lockdown-like restrictions have been imposed in the north-eastern state till May 16.

* Tamil Nadu: A two-week complete lockdown has been imposed in the state, starting May 10.

* Uttar Pradesh: Coronavirus curfew has been put in place in the state till May 10.
