The work-from-home arrangement has been a boon for some and for the others, a bane. While some enjoy working from the comfort of home, other miss going to the office and have a fun day with colleagues. In all of this, one thing that has come down on us severely is the dropping level of fitness. Few people seldom move from their work area while working from home; couple this with mindless snacking and lots of fast food, resulting in less physical movement.

However, one might say that going to the gym is expensive and time-consuming, one thing that COVID-19 has taught us is adapting. So, why not use everyday things that are available to us at home and get fit.

Push-ups

Push-ups are always challenging. Why not take it a step further? Balance a couple of books on your back while doing push-ups. This will only increase the impact but also help you in building balance.

Deadlift

You can do a deadlift by filling a bucket with water and lifting it as you do deadlift moves. But one must only fill the bucket according to lifting capacity.

Squats

Remember the good old school days with heavy school bags? Yes, the difference this time will be school. Fill your backpack with books, laptop etc, and wear them as you practice squats.

Dips

Dip exercises are always fun to do. While your house might not have sturdy tables or chairs, a low table can be used to do the dip exercises.

Side bend (hand towel)

If you want to work on your obliques (sides), a hand towel can be your friend. To get your obliques into shape, hold the hand towel straight, lift your hands and do the side bends.

Biceps curls

Find a lookalike pair of bottles, fill them up with water. After you fill them, use the bottles to do biceps curls. This will help with your biceps and triceps as it targets both muscle groups.
