Robert Irwin shared a sweet message for his sister Bindi on Instagram to celebrate National Siblings Day along with an adorable throwback picture of them clicked at an Australia zoo in Queensland. He calls Bindi the ‘absolute best.’

National Siblings Day is celebrated primarily on the 10th in the US and Canada.

Robert looked adorable in a white T-shirt, beige overalls, and sneakers as he leaned close to Bindi, who was dressed in khakis and holding a snake in the lovely throwback photo.

He captioned the post ‘Happy Siblings Day to the absolute best.’

Bindi also wished her brother on Instagram by posting a picture of them at their current age and wrote, ‘Happy National Siblings Day to the very best. Love you 3,000!

The lovely wishes came after Robert’s and Bindi’s mother Terri Irwin recalled their late father, Steve Irwin, during an interview at a Brisbane auditorium on Wednesday.

Terri, 57, from Oregon, was visiting Australia when she first saw The Crocodile Hunter when she was just 27 years old.

Terri found the Beerwah Reptile at Fauna Park, now known as Australia Zoo while traveling through Beerwah, a remote hamlet in Queensland.

During a live interview, with The Courier-Mail Terri said, ‘I was very impressed with the humility and love that he had for the animals.’

‘Incredibly short shorts, a big hat, and a big mullet, and he was so enthusiastic.’ She added.

Terri said that they talked nonstop for the entire day and exchanged phone numbers.

They finally married in Oregon in 1992 and had two children together, Bindi and Robert.

Steve died tragically in September 2006, at the age of 44, after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while making a documentary on Queensland’s Batt Reef.
